Cookie Policy
Effective June 22, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how WELOIN Global Private Limited (“WELOIN”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Slate website at slateeditor.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Note that the Slate desktop app does not use cookies, and your documents always stay on your own device. This policy is about the website you are reading now.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between page loads or visits, such as your preferences, and they help site owners understand how their site is used. Similar technologies, like local storage and pixels, can serve comparable purposes; we refer to all of these as “cookies” here.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies
These are necessary for the website to function and to remember basic choices. For example, we store your light or dark theme preference on your device so the site looks the way you left it. Essential cookies do not require consent because the site cannot work properly without them.
Analytics cookies
We use cookie-based analytics (for example, Google Analytics) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the website. These cookies tell us things like which pages are popular and roughly where our visitors come from, so we can improve the site. The information is used in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally. Where required by law, analytics cookies are set only after you give consent.
Your consent
Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies such as analytics cookies, and you can decline. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Declining analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the website; essential cookies will still be set so the site works.
Managing cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- adjust or withdraw your consent through any cookie preference control we provide on the site;
- use your browser settings to block or delete cookies; most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when a site sets one;
- opt out of analytics specifically, for example by using a browser extension that blocks the analytics provider.
Blocking all cookies may affect how some parts of the website work, including remembering your theme preference.
Third-party cookies
Analytics cookies are set by our analytics provider on our behalf. Those providers process the data according to their own policies. We choose providers that let us use their services in a privacy-respecting way, and we encourage you to review the provider’s own notices for details about their processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
